Almost There!

We've raised $70,000 so far, GREAT PROGRESS!!
(read all about it HERE in the Haddonfield Patch!)
Next Goal: $22,000 to upgrade the Stage Lights!

ABOUT

A private local campaign looking for your help to renovate the Haddonfield Memorial High School auditorium by donating your time, ideas and funding!
The Challenge: As the funds are allocated by the Board of Education to fund various items in the annual budget, the much needed repairs to the HMHS auditorium take a back seat to projects with higher priority. In some cases the equipment and systems are decades old and do not adequately serve the needs of our extremely talented students. Recently, South Jersey Magazine referred to Haddonfield as "Talent Town" in recognition of the extraordinary level of talented students in our schools. Our intent is to raise enough money, in a fund overseen by the Haddonfield Educational Trust, for the exclusive purpose of renovating the sound, lighting and stage curtain systems in the HMHS auditorium.

For more information: If you'd like to learn more details about the campaign or if you'd like to volunteer for one of our committees, contact Janice Hunt at janhunt5@verizon.net or click on the contact button above.
Tax deductible donations may be made to a special fund created under the Haddonfield Educational Trust by mail to HET , One Lincoln Ave, Haddonfield NJ 08033. Please mark your checks "HMHS Lights, Camera, Action."

Dear Friends

We've set a goal to raise $152,000 to refurbish the lighting, sound and stage curtains in the HMHS auditorium. As you can imagine, raising funds in these trying times can be challenging, but with the community’s help and generous contributions we have raised over $70,000! And we have even BETTER news. After preparing and submitting the application, The NJ Department of Education has offered us a grant of up to 40% (or $60,000) of the estimated $152,000 to complete the entire project (sound system, lighting and stage curtains altogether)! If we simply raise another $22,000 we will have achieved our first level and can begin the process of acquiring and installing our new sound system!
We would like to make three requests of our wonderful contributor base… o We need volunteers to help serve on the committee and help us continue to see this campaign through to fruition. If you can volunteer please contact us at the addresses below. o Please make a contribution and tell your borough friends, family and associates or any H.M.H.S alumni about our campaign. o We would like to be able to list the names of our donors in upcoming promotional activities and materials. If you would prefer not to have your name used, please contact us by email or regular mail and we will keep your name in confidence.
We’ve come a long way so far and the grant from the Department of Education will really help us achieve our goal by underwriting nearly half of the actual overall costs. Thank you again for your generous contribution and we look forward to you helping us by volunteering, spreading the word and endorsing our efforts to refurbishing the HMHS auditorium to serve generations to come.
Thank You,
Janice Hunt, chairman

BE AN ANGEL
SUPPORT THE ARTS

In the world of theatre, "angels" are patrons of the arts; people who donate today so tomorrow's singers, dancers, actors and musicians can have a brighter future.
The "Lights! Cameras! ACTION!" campaign needs the help of our community's "angels" in order to raise the $150,000 necessary to refurbish the HMHS auditorium. We offer two ways in which to become an "angel":
Name A Chair: For a $100 donation, you can place an engraved plaque with your name, or the name of a loved one, on the arm of an auditorium seat. This makes a great graduation gift, birthday present.

Buy A Wall Plaque Put your name on the wall of fame by purchasing an engraved plaque that will be hung in a prominent place in or near the HMHS auditorium. Levels of donations are:
____Angels - $250 to $499 ____Virtues - $500 to $999 ____Cherubim - $1,000 to $2499 ____Seraphim - $2,500 and up
Your Name:______________________________ Plaque Type (Name or Wall) _____________ name on Plaque: ________________________
